Secretly Canadianが売り出したボルチモアのエクスペリメンタルR&BゲイシンガーSERPENTWITHFEET、シーン代表以上の位置へ2024年アルバム。

1991年から1995年にかけて活動した当時のシューゲイザー~ブリット・ポップなどのUKギターバンドに触発されたデトロイトのバンドMAJESTY CRUSHのレア楽曲をコンパイルしたNumero盤。

Secretly Canadianがサインしたアトランタ・シーンで話題となっているJasmine Rose WilsonによるBABY ROSE、2023年アルバム。AARON FRASERからBADBADNOTGOODファンにも響かせながらオリジナルの点に落とすのちに名作と呼ばれそうなサイケデリック・ソウル盤。

COCTEAU TWINSのサポートをしその後4ADとサインしたCaro May、Rita Simon、Manuela Rickers、Fiona Sangster、Anja Huweによるドイツの大傑作ゴス〜ネオ・サイケ・バンドXMAL DEUTSCHLANDが1981年に地元ZickZackからリリースした7インチ「Schwarze Welt」ほか初期曲をコンパイルした2024年作品。

1981年に地元ベルリンのレーベルZickZackからデビュー後4ADからアルバムを発表したドイツの大傑作ゴス〜ネオ・サイケ・バンドXMAL DEUTSCHLANDのANJA HUWEによる音楽活動休止後数十年ぶりに制作された1stソロ・アルバム、2024。

RVNG INTL.よりJJ WeihlによるDISCOVERY ZONE、2024年アルバム。SALLY SHAPIROとTOPSなロマンス・ライン路線をRVNG INTL.印で鳴らしたシンセ・ウェイブ・ポップにシンセ・アンビエントなショート・トラックを散りばめたコレはこれまでなかった、と唸る初回限定盤にはアルバムの歌詞がプリントされたインナー・スリーブ付き。

K傘下の PerenniよりモントリオールのFEELING FIGURES、2023年1stアルバム。1985年頃の初期CreationのJASMIN MINKSやBIFF BANG POW!から1990年代USAインディたとえばKのCalvin JohnsonのThe GO TEAMや2000年代後半のCaptured Tracks登場期のBRILLIANT COLORSなどなどのジャングリー・ギター・バンド魂を2010年代のパンク・スピリッツを経由してカナダに誕生したかのような何故かオタク感よりアート感を得るグレイトな全10曲。限定500枚。

アーティストがアーティストでいるためにはいつでも何からでも影響を受けそして憧れ「ここなりたい！」と思えることである。しかも新しいものしかも年下に。リル・ピープのドキュメンタリー映画を鑑賞し"walk away as the door slams"をカヴァーすることから発展した混乱と騒乱のコラボレーション。その中から生まれた破滅的でいて神聖なアイデアをさらに再構築し完成させたニック・ラティガンによるカレント・ジョイズの過去最高傑作。

60年代後期から活動するサイケデリック・サイファイ・ニューエイジ・コンポーザーMORT GARSONの未発表曲を集めたカセット限定作品。

オーストラリアはメルボルンのEfficient Spaceはこの時代で数少ないコンピレーションをリリースして良いレーベルであるがまたしてもロンドンに住むJack Rollo とElaine TierneyによるTime Is Away選曲による本作が素晴らしい。それは普段流れてきても気に留めることのない楽曲達がまるで1980年代初頭のCherry Redなどのレーベルが持っていたパンク・シーン後の憂鬱な曇り空の下の静かなる革命のごとく我々へ安らぎと勇気を与える。全15曲。

MR OIZOことQuentin Dupieuxによる新作ムーヴィ『Daaaaaali”』の元DAFT PUNKのTHOMAS BANGALTERによるサウンド・トラック。映画ポスター封入。

フランスの男子まるでMETRONOMYがPHOENIXにプロデュースされたようにといえば明らかに言い過ぎだがその系ファンは久しぶりに気にいるであろうめずらしく嫌味のないロマンス限定500枚。全6曲収録。

Fire Recordsから秀作を何枚も出しているシンガーソングライターJosephine FosterがAndrew Barと組んでいたデュオThe CHILDREN'S HOURは2003年にあのRough Tradeから素晴らしいアルバムを発表していたが、その後制作されるも未発表のままに終わった2ndアルバムに収録される予定だった楽曲が20年の時を経て作品化。BEAT HAPPNINGやThe PASTELSに影響を受けたようなナイス8曲。

TIM PRESLEYのWHITE FENCEそしてCATE LE BONのドラマーである DYLAN HADLEY嬢率いるデュオ、KAMIKAZE PALM TREEによる奇跡の2ndアルバム、2022。80~90'sアヴァンやジャンク影響下のと思いきやさらに2000年代後半USAエクスペリメンタル系譜と思いきや、それら世界中の自己満足オルタナ・バンドと全く違う魅力を持つ理由はそれら先人を踏襲しながらアートとして構築した「同じのようで全然違う」このアルバムは80年代初頭のベルギーのFactory BeneluxやCrammed Discのバンドがポスト・パンクとCATE LE BONのバックを務めたかのようにナイス。
