AMBIANCE, a jazz-fusion group active in LA led by leader Daoud Abubakar Balewa in the late 70's and early 80's from High Jazz, a Swiss label that reissues witty 70's and 80's soul, jazz and funk. The (rare, of course) second album that was released on board only. JOHN COLTRANE, PHAROAH SANDERS, MCCOY TYNER, RAHSAAN ROLAND KIRK, etc., who are called post-bop influenced by mode jazz, have a great amount of heat and drive feeling. All 7 songs that can be said.
