SURFBORT, a group formed by Brooklyn-based men with a history such as CHUMPS and MOTARDS, who had the best albums released on Cult Records, a label run by JULIAN CASABLANCAS, the frontman of The STROKES, and Dani Miller, a toothless girl who is currently in high demand as a model, as their front girl, has released a limited 7-inch from a label established by Mudd Guts, a gallery run by Mark Cross, a tattoo artist who is also a member of the 8 Ball Zine community in Brooklyn, NYC. The 4 great songs, with a deliberate lo-fi fuzz that sounds like SONIC YOUTH and ROYAL TRAX doing sexual violet, which seems like they're about to smack STARCRAWLER, have earned the best position as a 7-inch that has more individuality than the album.
