Factory Benelux and Les Disques Du Crépuscule's Bethjan post-punk ism and the strongest lonely youth spirit of a former indie youth, with a guitar that is like FELT or rather MAURICE DEEBANK's direct descendant, will make you cry, cry, cry, and of course, cry alone. CHARLIE HICKEY was born in 1999 and grew up in a town near downtown Los Angeles. When he was 13 years old, he covered his favorite PHOEBIE BRIDGERS song and uploaded it to the internet. PHOEBIE BRIDGERS contacted him and, with her support, he began collaborating with her band member Marshall Vore. Then, after dropping out of school and starting his music career full-time, CHARLIE created his debut 12-inch single in 2021. She participated in the chorus on "No Good At Lying," a tear-jerking pop song in the direct line of PHOEBIE BRIDGERS. A limited edition of 6 songs by a newcomer with incredible potential. From PHOEBIE BRIDGERS' label Saddest Factory.[Read More]

YAYA CHORAL, like Drusilla Johnson of the Australian band SCATTERED ORDER, who was active in the 1980s, and Patrick Gibson, who is re-evaluated under the solo name of SYSTEMATICS, recorded in 1982. This sound source should not be released to the world. Mute or Factory, but it's a bit subtle, but Cherry Red, the best album that labels at the time should have found and released on 7-inch and buried them in that era.[Read More]

=BACK IN= The duo GRAPETOOTH's debut 2018 first album by Clay Frankel, a member of Chicago's TWIN PEAKS, and Chris Bailoni, who is active locally under the name HOME-SICK. The two souls of LIBERTINES and the two souls of TOUGH ALLIANCE are united, ripping Factory Records songs from JOY DIVISION to HAPPY MONDAYS, and punching all the music bands that are still pretentious in the early 2010s. A pop melody that sings by trampling MAC DEMARCO on real punk and anti-establishment spirits. This is youth music that young people should go wild and old people should protect. Perfect.[Read More]

2022 is the miraculous second album by KAMIKAZE PALM TREE, a duo led by Dylan Hadley, the drummer of Tim Presley's White Fence and Cate Le Bon. You might think that they are influenced by avant-garde and junk from the 80s and 90s, and even more so by the late 2000s USA experimental lineage, but the reason they have a completely different appeal from self-satisfied alternative bands around the world is that they follow their predecessors while building their art, "similar but completely different." This album is as nice as if the early 80s Belgian bands Factory Benelux and Crammed Disc had backed up post-punk and Cate Le Bon.[Read More]

A member of the shocking kids alternative trio Blackblack that appeared in the 2000's (a member and her older sister is Diva Dompe, former POCAHAUNTED's DIVA). Her father is BAUHAUS drummer Kevin Haskins. When I first met her, she was about 13 years old. AUTOMATIC, a trio formed after Dompe grew up and contracted with the prestigious Stones Throw, to which J DILLA and JOHN CARROL CARBY belong, will release their second album in 2022. Early JESUS AND MAEY CHAIN belonged to Mute via early Factory Records, produced by Daniel Miller with DEPECHE MODE, all 10 synth post-punk songs that seem to have been made alone in the modern LA scene.[Read More]

ELISA WAUT, formed in Belgium by Helewaut brothers and sisters Els and Hans who were active in the 80's, and bassist Chery Derycke, was rumored to have released their 1st cassette in 1982, and that Numero has made vinyl. After this, the album "Commedia" released from Ariola in 1987 should have been popular in Japan at that time, mainly with some European music enthusiasts and house mannequins, along with SADE etc. on Wave etc., but this early sound source was JOY DIVISION Factory Benelux, TUXEDOMOON ~ Crammed Discs, etc. A perfect mutant with a Belgian minimal wave that seems to mix French chanson with the influence of artists such as Numero guarantee. limited.

The model for the movie "FRANK", or rather the mask used, is FRANK SIDEBOTTOM, a comedy character created by Chris Sievey, a member of Manchester punk band The Freshies, which debuted in 1978, and who also released a solo album, after the band broke up and became an alternative stand-up comedian. Then, in the late 1980s, just like the Madchester movement, he was selected as a reporter for the TV station ITV and became very popular. In 1992, he became a famous character in the UK with his own show "Frank Sidebottom's Fantastic Shed Show" and the "Frank's Fantastic Question" corner on the quiz game show "Remote Control" created by Tony Wilson, the founder of Factory Records who discovered JOY DIVISION. At the same time, he was a unique pre...[Read More]
