There may not be even six people on this planet who would say they can be trusted just because they were members of DEVASTATIONS, but Conrad Standish, also known as CS, is the husband of JONNINE STANDISH of HTRK and has participated in many of her works. He was also a member of FINGERS of Blackest Ever Black, of which CARLA DAL FORNO was also a member, and is the most important duo CS + KREME, consisting of the two of them, and of course Will Bankhead's TTT, which is a long-awaited 2024 album.

YVES TUMOR is amazing. I have been a big supporter of his looks and worldview for a long time, but this album is so amazing that I worry that his character is getting in the way of the reviews. I am so surprised by the album and songs that have reached such an incredible position as music, or rather as rock music (not electronic music). I understand that people who buy as many records as you do, such as cool rock that makes you want to sing, rarely feel that way because they know that there are many better songs that make them feel like they can't sing, but when we come across a song that makes us want to sing, we still find ourselves singing along with our noses bleeding, and two such songs are included in the beginning of this record, ...[Read More]

Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru, an Ethiopian nun and pianist, recorded her vocal albums in the 1960s and 1970s in the islands, which are highly acclaimed among the Mississippi reissues, but this is a vocal album that she recorded at home on cassette. It is a total of eight songs that she had hoped to have released before her death in March 2023.[Read More]

Another big hit from Sacred Bones. This is the first official reissue of a legendary album that was produced in 1976 for the promotion of bed mattress manufacturer Simmons, but was not sold. MORT GARSON, a psychedelic sci-fi new age composer active since the late 60s, produced this organic ambient album using a Moog for indoor plants, just like Raymond Scott's baby music "Soothing Sounds For Baby." If you have indoor plants, you should listen to this one.[Read More]

Even before her debut, the new female singer-songwriter PHOEBE BRIDGER was highly praised by many trusted musicians, including RYAN ADAMS. The quality of the song A-2 "Motion Sickness" is overwhelming, and even non-musicians will be completely knocked out. This song is truly impressive, and it is a once-in-a-decade song. She is a woman who lives in the streets, discovering the joy that is often overlooked in sweat, tears, unreasonableness, and anger, and who sounds from a place where reality and idealistic thinking coexist, or rather, where it is real, unlike ADELE, CAT POWER, or SHARON VAN ETTEN. In other words, this is the first album of 2017 by a female singer-songwriter who does not really exist.

For example, the world that pointed at normcore a few years ago and laughed at it is now walking around Harajuku with a cap and a T-shirt tucked in, ignorant. In this way, the irresponsible words "Believe in yourself" given by society without any backing make us stop thinking and become selfish people. But we can't stop! NOTHING CAN STOP US! ... I tell myself in this gold jacket today, a trivial story. There is no way I can believe in myself like that. That's why I follow the records of the times today as well. In other words, CONFIDENCE MAN's 2018 debut album is perfect. The music is like "Screamadelica", HAPPY MONDAYS, RIGHT SAID FRED and DEE-LITE added together and divided by Aussie culture, and this appearance that is not sure if it ...[Read More]

WOODS, the leader of Woodsist. The 9th album in 2016 is proof that they have become a real thing since it has become a hot topic even before its release. The influence from 70's rock is the same as the one obtained by TEENAGE FUNCLUB in the 90's, and in addition, this sense of summarizing the inspiration from Motown etc. is clearly updated in a different place, and this work is It's certainly their masterpiece that makes you want to keep talking about it as 2010's pop music forever (inside yourself).[Read More]

Belarus. The president of the last dictatorship in Europe, Lukashenko, said, "Vodka and saunas work on corona. Well, you can't see it in the first place... it doesn't exist!" Seriously! Seriously. If you are a dictatorship, everything is serious. Just like this trio MOLCHAT DOMA. Their first album, released in 2017, is now being released worldwide by Sacred Bones. Not that that's why, but they may be the very virus. Is this Minimal Wave ~ Goth line that was established from the 2000s and 2010s real or a coincidence, or is it this even knowing everything? I bet all my money on the longshot third choice, but I'm sure that the me of a while ago, you of now, and the world three years from now will point and laugh, but I'll say it again an...

FRUIT EXPRESS' debut EP by Estonian punk-rock guitarist Madis Aesma and fellow electronic producer Roma Vjazemski. This is a mysterious 80's urban synth exo-pop dub that sold out immediately. It also includes a great TAPES remix.

I love my wife and my kids. But I'm in space. KING KRULE plays 15 songs with tears from the future beyond the universe, as if to fill the distance between eternal rebellion and the opposing peacefulness. This 2023 album is seriously the best one yet.[Read More]

Vocalist Lila Ramani is (was?) a member of STADING ON THE CORNER, a collective that is said to have the strongest ability to transmit information from the underground to the majors in the current New York culture. We can feel the true beginning of the 2020s after the pandemic. The important thing is whether or not you can discover this work by CRUMB in a different aspect from the world, and it is a part that will affect future youth culture and even mass culture as a result of subculture. While hybridizing SORRY and KING KRULE across the sea from EARL SWEATSHIRT to ONYX COLLECTIVE and later STADING ON THE CORNER sense, it is extremely important that it was presented as a guitar band that is clear above all. Perfect counter. However, it i...[Read More]

This is great. It's as great as a coffee blend of CURE, CRYSTAL CASTLES, and TEENAGER, dipped in it and tucked under the arm. I don't know what they're trying to do. I don't know what they're saying, but it's probably not that important in German. The vocals are also great. Especially after singing, he always says "Gaa haa~ ♪ " is a wonderful line. It's the best since Hikaru Utada's "Who are you thinking of? ♪" before the chorus of "First Love".

MANDY, INDIANA from Manchester, who has supported HORRORS, SQUID, GILLA BAND, and others, will be performing with GILLA BAND at Fire Talk in 2023. Daniel Fox and Giant Swans This is the debut album mixed by Robin Stewart. It is a Gilla Band-esque electronic noise beat explosion, with a French post-punk voice that challenges Marie Davidson. There are 11 songs in total that sound like they would get a contract from Rough Trade in no time.

-LTD. CRYSTAL CLEAR VINYL- NYC four-piece CRUMB's 2021 full album. Vocalist Lila Ramani is also (was?) a member of STADING ON THE CORNER, a collective that is said to have the strongest influence in the current New York culture from underground to major. This connection allows us to feel the true beginning of the 2020s after the pandemic from the solid culture of the late 2010s, but in any era or world, there is plenty of cultural excitement, and the times change only if we are willing to, and the most important thing is whether we can discover this work by CRUMB from a different perspective than the rest of the world, which will affect future youth culture and even mass culture as a result of subculture. It is an incredibly impor...[Read More]

This is the solo debut album of Kristin Kontrol by Kristin Gundred, the front girl of Dum Dum Girls, Dee Dee. It may even be better than the original...[Read More]

-Bonus original sticker- Even if London Burning in the latter half of the 2010s ended without realizing their dreams, they were definitely there. The latest So Young Black MIDI, the memorable 1st album of 2019. It's a repetitive, edgy runaway with a ridiculous bloodiness that makes it seem like a young MARK E. SMITH, a young JOHN LYDON, a young TALKING HEADS, and a young JOSEF K fucked a ridiculously lame math rock, which is more than we can imagine, and the reason why THOM YORK is so jealous is directly connected to that idea, and the rumor that for some reason, old men are screaming and going wild in the front row of their live shows is because they know real punk,...
