In the late 1980s, Jeff Ott (who was only 12 at the time!) and Jack Curran, who formed a punk band called CRIMPSHRINE, formed in 1991. After releasing two albums from the prestigious punk label Lookout!, they left the label in the early 90s. In the mid-1990s, American indie rock bands such as alternative, grunge, and melocore attracted attention, but due to their lack of presence, it seems that they received little recognition.
