While becoming the prototype of The xx, in the latter half of the 1990s, they approached the club scene and took on a new form that introduced electronic music. Although the 1999 album "Temperamental", which was the culmination of this, received solid acclaim, the group went on hiatus. I thought that this work, which was announced after 24 years, would be their comprehensive style, but their activities = the extension of their evolution. CHARLIE HICKEY was born in 1999 and grew up in a town near downtown Los Angeles. When he was 13 years old, he covered his favorite PHOEBIE BRIDGERS song and uploaded it to the internet. PHOEBIE BRIDGERS contacted him and, with her support, he began collaborating with her band member Marshall Vore. Then, after dropping out of school and starting his music career full-time, CHARLIE created his debut 12-inch single in 2021. She participated in the chorus on "No Good At Lying," a tear-jerking pop song in the direct line of PHOEBIE BRIDGERS. A limited edition of 6 songs by a newcomer with incredible potential. COLA is a band formed by former OUGHT members Tim Darcy and Ben Stidworthy, and Evan Cartwright, who was a member of US GIRLS and WEATHER STATION. This is a 2024 album by COLA. The minimalist drum/bass/guitar performance sounds like a blend of TELEVISION and early STROKES, but the original already has a universal aesthetic. Limited edition.
