From the beginning, the jazz development that John Dweyer has been fond of recently is played with the tension of Oh Sees, with saxophone and fuzz guitar thumping, and it's a psychedelic garage jazz neo that no longer needs a reissue of Sun Ra.

The song "Ketamine" has perverted lyrics, but the backing musicians are Jay Watson and James Ireland, both members of POND, and mastering is done by Kevin Parker, lead singer of TAME IMPALA, who is an old friend of his. The song has the same vibe as Billy Joel and Todd Rundgren from the early 70s, and more recently FOXYGEN. Of course, this is a collection of 12 songs that combine the craftsmanship of soft singer-songwriter pop with POND, but without the lines that would appeal to pseudo-experts, making it a cont...

Australian duo HTRK, Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang, release their 5th album in 2019, their first since 2014's "Psychic 9-5 Club". Since their debut in 2005, ROWLAND S. HOWARD, who produced "Marry Me Tonight" in 2009, suddenly died, and in 2010, bassist Sean Edward Stewart committed suicide just before the completion of their next album "Work (Work, Work)". These successive misfortunes make the melancholy dark, but we still find overwhelming love. Even before her debut, the new female singer-songwriter PHOEBE BRIDGER was highly praised by many trusted musicians, including RYAN ADAMS. The quality of the song A-2 "Motion Sickness" is overwhelming, and even non-musicians will be completely knocked out. This song is truly impressive, and it is a once-in-a-decade song. She is a woman who lives in the streets, discovering the joy that is often overlooked in sweat, tears, unreasonableness, and anger, and who sounds from a place where reality and idealistic thinking coexist, or rather, where it is real, unlike ADELE, CAT POWER, or SHARON VAN ETTEN. In other words, this is the first album of 2017 by a female singer-songwriter who does not really exist.
